Some
useful points to consider when taking out travel insurance
with Advice on Money
- Number
of Days - You should select from the list the number
of days that you will be away from home. This should be
the entire duration of the trip, not just the number of
days you will spend at the resort or hotel.
- Don't
forget to include the travelling to and from the airport,
or port.
- Total
number of people travelling. Select from the list the total
number of people who will be travelling in your party who
you want covered by your insurance.
- This
should include everyone, regardless of his or her age.
- Under
16's Select from the list the number of people travelling
who are under 16. Many insurers will give a discount
for children under 16, providing they are travelling
with an adult.
- Under
2's Select from the list the number of children under
2 who are travelling. Many insurers will provide their
insurance cover free of charge.
- Your
Destination Select from the list UK, Europe or World-wide
cover.
- UK
The mainland United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales)
their islands (Isle of Man, Scottish islands, Scilly
Isles etc.) and Northern Ireland.
- Europe
All European countries including Republic of Ireland,
Channel Islands, Madeira, the Canary Islands, the Azores,
Iceland, Russia west of the Ural
- Mountains
and all countries which border the Mediterranean.
- World-wide
Everywhere else in the world.
